Mommyhood Thursday - 02.02.2012

y little Savannah will turn 8 weeks tomorrow! 8 weeks!! Where has the time gone? Everyone tells me that they feel like she's been around forever and they can't believe she's only 8 weeks. Um... I beg to differ. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was laying in that hospital room giving birth to her. So... it's been a complete flash to me! Since I'm home with her now, I'm trying to take advantage of the precious time we have together and document every moment that I can on film. She loves the sound of the camera lens adjusting its focus and will smile at it when she hears it! See? She just heard it in this picture...

In the late afternoons we've settled into a nice little napping arrangement. She lays on my stomach and I hold on tight to her. We nap. It's awesome bonding time. Of course... she naps. I nap with one eye open. Mommies... you know what I'm talking about!

I'm definitely enjoying being a mom. It's amazing. There really is nothing like it. I'm constantly on the alert for every coo, every cry and now (at 8 weeks) every spontaneous little smile. It melts my heart.

She's currently starting to grow out of her newborn clothes. : ( Boo. Today she used her last newborn size diaper. Double boo. : ( She started using size 1 this afternoon. Triple boo. My honey bun is growing up!! But... triple yay to her being healthy and oh so so triple, quadruple cute! : )
